Qualifications
- Contestant must be a female
- Contestant must be the age of 18-24 years. (May apply at 17 years of age but has to turn 18 years of age before or on the day of coronation)
- Contestant must not be married or divorced
- Contestant must not be pregnant or mother of a child
- Contestant may reside in any county

Horse Skills
All contestants are required to have horsemanship knowledge. Contestant are not required to own a horse but have to be able to borrow a horse for the horsemanship competition portion.
